Loving Yourself Through The Pain!

Pain is inevitable. Everyone will experience pain at some point throughout their lives and more than once. When someone rejects you, it brings on a bout of pain. Sometimes its a level of pain that we have trouble comprehending. When you endure pain, it is important to tend to the wound immediately. Often times we will ignore the pain without even thinking of the future damage we are creating for ourselves.


How To Love Yourself Through The Pain:


1. Acknowledge the pain and the root of it.

2. Take some time to yourself to see what you most need in that moment

3. Start giving yourself attention by doing something to help towards your healing process.

4. Allow yourself to sit with the pain when the hurt presents itself at the most inopportune times.


Loving yourself through the pain will allow you to properly heal. Therapy can be a part of the process. Loving yourself is taking care of yourself, while putting yourself first. Yes, you will continue your day to day events while consciously paying attention to yourself and your basic needs when the pain arises.



All pain hurts and if you ignore the hurt then the pain will worsen. Think about an open wound that you have, if it goes untreated then it will get infected and in extreme circumstances it can be amputated. Healing isn't about coping. Healing is a process where you aren't forced to suffer the unaddressed pain.
